Refund & Cancellation Policy - Better Bedding

1. Your Right to Cancel (Online / Distance Purchases)

If you buy goods from us online or via phone/email (a "distance contract"), you have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days without giving a reason. This right is provided under the European Union Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

• The 14-day cancellation period begins the day after you, or a nominated third party other than the carrier, receives the goods.

• If multiple goods are delivered separately, the period begins the day after you receive the last item.

• You may cancel before the goods are delivered.

2. How to Cancel

To cancel your order, you must inform us clearly (by email, phone, or post) before the 14-day period expires:

3. Returning Goods and Refunds

• You must return the goods to us within 14 days of notifying us of cancellation.

• You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, unless we have agreed to cover this.

• We will refund all payments received, including standard delivery charges, within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or proof of return).

• Refunds will be made using the same payment method unless you agree otherwise.

• If you opened or handled the goods more than necessary to check their nature, characteristics, and function, we may deduct for reduced value.

4. Exceptions – Items That Cannot Be Cancelled

Your right to cancel does not apply to certain items:


• Goods made to your personal specifications or clearly personalised.
• Sealed hygiene products (such as mattresses or pillows) which have been opened after delivery.
• Any goods where your contract specifically states they are non-returnable.


Note: These exceptions comply with EU and Irish consumer law.

5. Faulty or Misdescribed Goods

Separately from the 14-day cancellation right, you have statutory rights under Irish law if goods are:


• Faulty
• Not as described
• Not fit for purpose


Your statutory rights may include repair, replacement or refund, even after the 14-day period.

6. In-Store Purchases

If you buy goods directly from our showroom, the 14-day cancellation right does not apply.


Returns and exchanges for in-store purchases are at our discretion, unless the goods are faulty.

7. Delivery and Product Availability

• If an item is out of stock or unavailable, we will notify you promptly and issue a full refund.

Delivery charges may only be refunded to the standard delivery cost, not premium shipping fees.
